Terms of use
These terms cover use of the Trisynapse desktop app, website, and contact surfaces.
Last updated · June 7, 2026
1. The app
Trisynapse is a local-first desktop research workspace. The app runs on your machine and stores research data in the vault folder you choose. Public website forms are separate contact surfaces and are not part of your local vault.
2. Acceptable use
- Use Trisynapse only in ways that comply with applicable laws and third-party rights.
- You are responsible for the sources you ingest and the outputs you create.
- External model, search, TTS, and monitoring providers may have their own terms.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the public website or feedback endpoints.
3. AI output
AI-generated summaries, wiki articles, graphs, and answers can be incomplete or wrong. Verify important research findings against original sources before relying on them.
4. Your data
Your vault content remains yours. Trisynapse does not claim ownership over imported sources, generated Markdown, chat histories, canvas files, or local indexes. You control the local folder and backups.
5. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Questions can be sent to contact@trisynapse.com.
