These terms govern your use of Trisynapse (the “Service”). By creating an account or installing the desktop app, you agree to them.

011. The service
Trisynapse is a local-first desktop research application. The desktop app runs on your machine and stores your vault locally. We provide optional managed compute, account licensing, billing, and email delivery as part of the Service. We may change, pause, or deprecate features with reasonable notice.
022. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the Service, abuse our compute, or bypass plan limits.
- Do not use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or harassing.
- You are responsible for the content you ingest, summarize, and compile into your vault.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or violate these terms.
033. Plans, billing, and refunds
- Free, Pro, and Advanced plans are billed monthly or annually as displayed on the Pricing page.
- You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future charges; the paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: cancel within 14 days of any paid charge for a full refund, no questions asked. Email billing@trisynapse.com.
- Advanced pay-as-you-go balances are non-refundable once spent on managed compute.
- Taxes may apply based on your billing address.
044. Your data
Your vault is yours. We do not claim ownership over the sources, summaries, wiki articles, or chats you create. We do not train models on them. We may delete server-side account data (auth profile, billing history, email preferences) on request. Local vault data is never on our servers, so deletion of server-side data does not affect your local files.
055. Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the Service reliable and accurate, but we do not guarantee that AI-generated summaries, compilations, or answers are correct. You are responsible for verifying important findings. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
066. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
